Eight CUHK-Shenzhen Students Win 2018 Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship

We have recently received good news from the Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation that 8 CUHK-Shenzhen students are on the list of the awardees of 2018 Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship. Of the 8 scholarship awardees, 3 are international students who are pursuing bachelor’s degrees at CUHK-Shenzhen and 5 are Chinese students who have recently graduated from CUHK-Shenzhen and are pursuing Master’s degrees abroad. The total amount of the scholarship they have received is RMB 395,000 Yuan.

CUHK-Shenzhen has been recommending its students to the Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation for consideration since 2016. In 2016 and 2017, 4 and 7 CUHK-Shenzhen students were awarded the scholarship respectively.

Established in Shenzhen in 2011, the Shenzhen Universiade International Scholarship Foundation aims to promote the spirit of the Universiade and support international cultural and educational exchanges among young people. It subsidizes international students who are studying in China and Chinese students who are studying abroad, and promotes exchanges and cooperation in education, culture, science and technology between Shenzhen and other parts of the world. It is China's first public fund that specializes in supporting those students who study abroad.
