There are two major research directions in our lab: smart materials and composite materials. Smart materials focus on materials that are responsive to outside stimulus, and can transform one type of energy to another. Composite materials focus on the hybridization of different materials with synergistic effect for energy and environmental applications.

This laboratory around the demand of sustainable development, focused on the major environmental problem such as water pollution, air pollution, to aggregate polymer products at all levels in the process of structural design and precise custom as the main line, the key breakthrough efficient flocculant, intelligent extraction agent, adsorbent, etc. Series of new advanced technology bottleneck, environment purification materials for environmental protection and control application of high performance functional polymer material, focus on the molecular structure and micro-nano structure precise manipulation of the key scientific problems, the development of new materials industry competitiveness promotion, environmental pollution control, environmental protection industry to provide technology support.
